Hi I am recently moved my book that I am working on using Blurb Booksmart to thumb drive to save space on my computer. I am using a Dell laptop running Windows 7 and yes I know this is considered an antique in the computer world, but can't afford anything newer at the moment.
When I go to open the program from the thumb drive it says file extension not found. I know Blurb Booksmart uses either a. Anyway, I still have it on my computer and can open it fine from there, just not from the thumb drive. I need to know if there is a safe place to download the file so that I can open it from the thumb drive.
Please let me know if you need additional information. I admit I am not very smart about computer related matters so I am apologizing in advance if I don't understand your question or something. I do appreciate any help that can be offered.
This reminds me of when i thought i had transferred all of Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing Version 11 over to my flash, however, the program would not launch. A critical file was missing, and, i no longer had access to the CD - - which i guess it could not work independent from. With respect to your situation, perhaps you have to fully download the entire program to your flash in order for your files to open or have a CD of the program present in the drive?
I guess another aspect is, would your flash drive be large enough to accommodate the program? Could it be the case that it is outmoded? Another example that comes to my mind is instances where i had MovieMaker files and label files that would work with Brother P-Touch i believe residing on my flash drive, however, they would not be recognized without that specific software on my system.
I guess the assurance is that Safe Web has deemed blurb. Although i have my gripes with download. This is the first time i moved to an AMD Ryzen processor versus Intel, perhaps, the instability lies there…. That method would be appropriate if you want to make a backup copy of your book for emergency recovery just in case you accidentally delete or corrupt the working copy of your book.
Just note the warning in that support article that if you permanently move the location of your BookSmart library to an external USB drive then that external drive must always be connected before starting BookSmart.
All this assumes that the main BookSmart program is installed and running on your main hard drive. There are some special executable. That's because the main executable BookSmart. I am using a Dell laptop running Windows As a general rule, you don't want working files and emergency backups saved to the same drive just in case you loose your thumb drive, some buggy Windows update corrupts your USB drivers and disables your USB ports, or your hard drive crashes.
If your only concern is that you're running out of free disk space on your Win 7 computer you could try running the built-in Windows Disk Cleanup utility Start button All Programs Accessories System Tools Disk Cleanup to delete unnecessary files e.

Online book printing We can print books of our work using free, downloadable software from online companies like Blurb and Photographer Book. The print quality is normally high and books are printed using digital printing systems. Click below to see some examples of books that other people have produced, featured in the Blurb Bookstore. Click here to see the cost of printing various different sizes of books with different cover formats etc with Blurb. Digital printing is ideally cost effective if printing in small quantities eg 1 - or so copies at maximum Where large numbers of printed books are required, it becomes more cost effective to work with a commercial print company eg the Gatehouse Design and Print Consultancy at RGU using the lithographic print process, involving a commercial printing press and the creation of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black printing plates.
