Doll House it is a work written by the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen in during his stay in Amalfi and was represented for the first time the 21 December of the same year in Copenhagen. The text, considered modern and current even today, had a spirit of rupture and rebellion with the society of the Victorian era, representing a pungent criticism of the traditional roles of men and women in the context of marriage. Nora , protagonist of the drama, chooses to abandon her husband, home and children, a "scandalous" and surprising gesture that questions, for the first time, the personal freedom of the individual and the emancipation of women. Like the same Ibsen he had the movement to express in some notes of the drama: "There are two kinds of moral laws, two kinds of consciences, one in a man and another completely different in a woman. One can not comprehend the other; but in the practical matters of life, woman is judged by the laws of men, as if she were not a woman, but a man.
